Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

ACLS is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

PHTLS is appropriate for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and other prehospital providers. PHTLS is accredited by CAPCE and recognized by NREMT.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

Pediatric Emergency Assessment & Stabilization (PEARS)

PEARS is for healthcare providers and others who might encounter pediatric emergency situations during their work Improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers in assessment, early recognition, prompt communication, and initial intervention in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

PALS is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

A Veteran-Owned Medical Education Center

American Training Institute (ATI) is a veteran-owned medical education center that strives to ensure elite training and education for Michigan’s healthcare workers. Davenport University and ATI have partnered together to form a consortium for paramedic education, allowing ATI to offer paramedic education courses on non-traditional campuses, as well as meet the accreditation standards for sponsorship.

The primary objective of American Training Institute is to prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
