Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO 5)
CEVO 5® is a specialized Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) that utilizes the proven, participant-based “Coaching” method. Rather than a simple lecture, our training encourages discussion and deep engagement with the material. The primary objective of the CEVO program is to prevent collisions by training operators to recognize potential hazards and act defensively. It is the gold standard for emergency vehicle driver training.
The course covers essential topics including:
- Due regard
- Vehicle inspections
- Defensive driving in emergency and non-emergency situations
- Use of lights and sirens
- Distracted driving
- Fatigue
- Adverse weather
- And more!

Payment Plan Details
- $100 Due by 1st day of class
- $350 each month for 4 months
Prerequisites / Enrollment Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or at least 17 years of age and dual-enrolled high school senior.
- High School graduate, a dual-enrolled high school senior, GED holder, Homeschool Equivalency at the High School level, or college graduate with official college transcripts.
- Applicants must disclose any criminal conviction pursuant to the NREMT Criminal Conviction Policy. Applicants are not required to disclose any criminal conviction that has been expunged from the public record or a deferred adjudication that did not result in the entry of a conviction judgment.
- Applicants must pass a background check. A felony conviction will prevent an applicant from passing a background check.
- Applicants must submit to a blood or urine drug and alcohol screen and be drug and alcohol free.
